Laptop Charger Storage Units (LapCabby)

These Laptop storage and charging units are an ideal solution for educational institutions or office environments. Features include a sturdy, long lasting build quality, and lockable doors and wheels for added security and stability.

Safety Features
To prevent unauthorised access to the wiring and electricity, there are separate electrical compartments that can't be accessed directly from the main laptop storage area. The separate electrical compartments can only be accessed by hidden door releases.
Safety certificate with electrical components rated to the following British and European standards:
EN 61000-6-1, EN 61000-6-3, EN 61000-3-2 and EN 61000-3-3:1995. Electrical safety to BS EN 60730-1:2001 and BS EN 60730-2-1:1997.

Energy Saving Power Management
Featured on all LapCabbys is our brand new energy saving power management system. With adjustable 7-day timer, laptop charging can utilise Economy 7 power but also can be overridden for daytime charging.
Another unique feature is the sequential switching facility which will turn one section of laptops on at a time to avoid your circuit breakers being overloaded when the power is switched on. An auxiliary power source for the use of projectors / Wifi / printers is available as an optional extra.

Lockable Storage
With security being a key feature in the design, we have developed an effective dual point locking mechanism. With one turn of the key, the doors are simultaneously locked at the top and the bottom for increased security, giving you peace of mind.

The dual point locks are operated from the top of the unit, which means keys are out of harm's way and gone are the days of snapping keys in locks when bumped into walls.

Air Ventilation
All LapCabby models include a specifically designed and tested air venting system, keeping laptops cool while the unit is locked and the laptops charging. Another key feature in the design, to keep the unit temperature down while charging, is a mesh base to maintain the security of the unit while increasing ventilation.

The new LapCabby Connect range includes an integrated D-Link router to allow each laptop or netbook internet access via Wi-Fi. The router is kept ventilated and secured in the back of the unit allowing easy acces if required, but prevents it being tampered with.

The new LapCabby Up-Link range comes complete with gigabit switch and Wi-Fi access point. The Wi-Fi access point (D-Link DAP-2553) - allows the unit to be plugged into the LAN providing a wireless access point for laptops to connect to whilst in use.
The Gigabit network switch (D-Link DGS-1210-24) and concealed Cat5e cabling means lapops can remain connected to the LAN even while charging allowing laptops to be upgraded overnight.
Both networking units are kept in the ventilated mouling secured to the top of the unit, allowing easy access if required, but prevents the units from being tampered with.
